Interesting. Does that mean it only prints cursive, or unlike others it has the ability to print cursive?

Most typewriters use a standard monospaced font, either Pica (10 cpi) or Elite (12 cpi). This machine is fitted with cursive typeslugs and therefore only types in cursive--but since most do not, it's just a cool find.
Unfortunately it does not run at the moment. Motor works(electric) but the rest is stuck and rusty. I think I can fix it.

Thanks for explaining. I read about those two fonts but some are more special. I understand the deal better now. Good luck. What is the scrap pile, seems special. Is it a special recycling place in a store or something?

The scrap pile isn't a store--it's the big heap of junk at work behind the Auto Parts store that I work at. Someone was unloading a truckload of garbage into the dumpster, so I ended up with a typewriter, a vintage radio, and someone's family photos from like 1899. The photos are going to the Historical Society as they are pictures of some fairly recognizable local family names.

I swear you read my mind lol, I was too self-conscious to ask where you work.
