I will give them all hugs!!!
And he’s right, dogs needing food and good living conditions is the bare minimum. Dogs need exercise, mental stimulation, training, and constant affection and companionship!!
And yes, ALWAYS do your research and make sure you’re getting a dog from a responsible breeder or rescue!!

Dog V1 came from a professional breeder. She was descended from a Crufts champion no less. V2, V3 and V4 are rescues. Because of how many dishonest breeders there are and the cost I would always go for a rescue. There are so many sitting there waiting for the perfect human bed to steal!

There are a lot of dishonest breeders but there are also a lot of good ones!! I have a rescue dog (Linda), and Enzo who is technically a rescue since he was repossessed by his breeder due to being placed with an owner originally who lied on his application. I will always have both rescue dogs and dogs that I purchase and breed myself. Every dog deserves a home!

I’m also looking into adopting a German Shorthaired Pointer at the moment since they’re a breed that’s very high-strung and they often get returned to the breeder or abandoned. I’m either going to ask around for breeders who have repossessed dogs or contact GSP rescue!
