Like if they're going to be friends with someone, please pay attention to them, and please make them feel interesting, cared about, and validated. If not, they shouldn't even bother being friends with anyone.

And then they have the nerve to say that I'm the one who is self-centered and that I "only talk about myself" when I'm just trying to share my interests. But they don't even want to hear about my interests, so who cares. I'm tired of walking a fine line between wanting to socialize, and strongly disliking human social behavior.

and yeah they not really sound like real friends, they sound more like amusement contacts (from their view). people which you can spend time with, but they not really care about you in general.

This is basically why I have so many dogs. People can be really hard to be around

@Silhouette Mirage Same here!!! At least I don't sit around wondering if my dogs love me or not. They make that very clear. My friends probably wouldn't even be honest if I asked them about it :/
