Now I can’t show him until his coat grows back. She ruined his show career for the summer >:( I’m a groomer too… I should’ve done it myself! Now I know not to accept favors from acquaintances. I will not be speaking to her for a while.

I’m a lot angrier about this than I probably sound. And yes, I’ve posted a lot of statuses, I’ve had a lot to say lol. But this, I’m rather furious about.

You don’t shave Newfoundlands. You don’t really shave ANY double coated dog… Poodles and Portuguese Water Dogs and similar breeds are the only ones you’re supposed to “shave.” And you just clip them, the rest of the hair stays. I’m really mad.

I’m grooming all of my dogs exclusively by myself from now on. Who thinks it’s okay to do that without ASKING?!

My friend who breeds Newfoundlands is pretty angry about this too, and she said she would never talk to that person again.

That's AWFUL. I would be absolutely livid. Now you got to let him grow his coat back out and that'll take a long time.
Infuriating.

That is rightful rage. Not something one does to the floofy breeds.
