Stats are made from the 'bad' dogs and don't take into account the good ones. The press in the UK demonise the Staffordshire Bull Terrier as dangerous. Every single one I've met just wanted to give me a kiss.

Exactly!!!

My service dog’s trainer has a Staffy. He is a therapy dog and an obedience champion! Same with my friend’s Bull Terriers. All of my Dogo Argentinos have their Canine Good Citizen title too. I love the phrase “Punish the deed, not the breed.”

I agree. 99.99% of supposed dangerous dog breeds are harmless unless you are a tennis ball then you are doomed!

That sounds a bit like when you're hiking to a hilltop you've been to at least a dozen times, and someone coming down says, "You're nearly there!" :p

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing... especially when people then assume they are the expert in the room...

By the way, in the event of a repeat, you could always cite back statistics that you're far more likely to be killed by an idiot than a dog! :)

Plus, that when you have a dog, you're less likely to be killed by idiots. ;)

Yup. Lol. Or the saying about teaching fish how to swim!

I think it's pretty cool that we can make each other laugh in real time from opposite hemispheres on this planet! :)

Luca
I think people around here are way more likely to get killed by political extremists than any type of animal!
L
Luca
Yes, I love that we can do that too :) I might have some more rude memes to show you later ;)

Dog joke for you. German Shepherd says to British Bulldog, "You poor thing! Did you fall off the balcony and land on your nose?"

Looking forward to it. A laugh is good for the endorphins. :)

Hullo, @maycontainthunder! I keep meaning to join the animal thread you two are on. Our dog plays a balloon game you might like. @crewlucaa_ has already seen it. ;)

Internet is glacial here - rural service and public holiday. But I finally managed to get it to load. Is that your dog? :)

Ours does this: https://youtu.be/H__RX6xCoDs

No but Dog V1 & V3 were the same colour. Like your dog, hoping to see more pics of her!

I think Dog V4 got his colours after running around the paint shop. He seems to have collided with tins of carrot soup, cream then crashed into a fireplace. ;)

That's a very cinematic description, @maycontainthunder! :) It also gives me the impression he has an interesting personality and lots of energy...

Reds are a different personality to the other colours. Dog V4 is slightly more bonkers than the other 3. He's on my lap making it hard to type; nudging, giving me the cold nose and fidgeting because I'm not making a fuss of him.
