I had to go look up a spider leech. Had a real fine day. Bicycled to the next town over, cross-country, got coffee & went to a street fair by accident then went to church, hung out a lot with the punk scene.

That's one of the most ancient ranges in the world; the granite is over 1 billion years old, and the peaks were once islands in a prehistoric ocean - before there was multicellular land life! :) It's pretty spectacular hiking.

Callistemon. Its a method. First locate bog webs. Next avoid water. Spider Leeches hide well in bog water. Moss sometimes reveals webs. Lit fires for light.

Spider Leeches fall into a trance state around flame. Now the hard part. Slaying them. I like to hear my sword in the fire. Easier to cut threw their hide. Weakest part is the nine legs.

Get them and you hobble it.
Watch out for the extendable fangs. Stretches two foot past head. Feeds threw them like Leeches.

If you can get the eyes that helps too. Prefer arrows or long Spears for that work. Advise leather armor for protection and swift movement.
