It's very creative procrastination. ;) Have you ever noticed how much stuff you can get done when you're procrastinating something else?

That is completely accurate. I built a cellphone out of a rotary phone & some old junk electronics from eBay while stressing, made coffee, ate breakfast at 3 AM, had an incredibly vivid dream...

and now I wake up, the clock is striking seven, and I have done none of my paperwork, I find a full coffeepot, there's a working telephone from 1937 on the sideboard where there was no phone before. Autistic procrastination is like some peoples' stories of drug abuse.

Anyway I wish I was this productive when I was doing (my own, not others') paperwork. I'd be the academic powerhouse I was a few years ago.

Except it creates useful items apparently! ;)

Next you need to invent a go-to-sleep machine for insomniacs. That would be handy.

My husband says when he really wants to get things done, he finds one really important thing that needs to be done that he wants to put off, and does everything else first! :)

Especially effective if there's a deadline on the procrastinated item!

And he says, "36 hours? That's nothing, I say, nothing. Amateur! Dabbler! Dilettante!" ;)

A go-to-sleep machine for insomniacs? I turn my laptop on & put on videos of people discussing collecting model trains. Out cold in 10 minutes.
Well, best regards to Brett; I will have to see about the papers on the floor here from the bill collector. Sent two weeks ago.

He was muttering about papier mache when he heard that, @Gerontius. Of course, that's our absurd sense of humour, not what we'd actually do. We like making up therapeutic fantasies. Best wishes getting it sorted! :)
