It's not magic or any supernatural selection. It's just youtube. They have ads.

YouTube gets a lot of revenue suggesting crazy stuff to people. I have left the computer up to see where it goes if it's on long enough. You can start out with steam trains & end up with Adolph Hitler. YT makes good money by suggesting nonsense.

Religious grift is where the money is, and it's where the unscrupulous evildoers are--Most religious YouTube is either fluff, or a gateway to more annoying things. Case in point, I shared videos of ancient chants with Yeshuasdaughter, and my laptop decided "Oh fun! Now time for cult stuff"

So after that YouTube pumped in a ton of whackjob "conspiracy theories" which would fall under the category of private devotions gone wrong.

It's why I don't look up politics. YouTube also makes money recommending stuff on the right, somehow. I can literally look up something about leftist politics and five videos later it wants to share PragerU.

Well, the thing is if I looked up right-wing stuff, it wouldn't swap over & show lefty content. It would immediately go further right.
My hunch? Content farmers are producing this stuff, at least a not insignificant amount. And there are so many small "media" groups out there as little shell corporations that YT is saturated with stuff about politics & religion.

Ever since the 1960s, when the AM radio airscape changed to a more lapel-grabbing, aggressive style, there's been money in making an all-American blend of politics, religion, and "showmanship" that is great for polarizing folks and keeping them in fear.

Could go on but I won't; it's long & boring, and you probably want to go smoke some Delta 8 or play some games or something, and I want to smoke a pipe and stand outside in the middle of the night like the Ghost of Procrastination Yet to Come. Good luck. Don't let it ruffle ya; it's just people making a dishonest dollar.
