Thanks! It's been an odd few years right hahaha. I don't think she'd be able to handle the protest tractors AND helicopters

But at least she's a human being - over here we're governed by...well, not very nice people...

...and now we're going to send our refugees over to you, because those not very nice people would not let them out of immigration detention here. You already have that really famous one who wrote a book.

True, I don't really follow politics anymore but I guess it's good to get out of immigration detention being stuck for 2 years without knowing what was going to happen

Ayy, some of these guys have been stuck in immigration detention nine years even though they are genuine refugees. It's disgusting... one fella was 15 when he came here unaccompanied, parents died, now 24 and still locked up. Many of them Afghans and Australia is so racist...

Oh I didn't know, that is horrible. Yeah I am too. Information in general tbh. I can absorb an extreme amount of information and have almost no filter for relevance so processing time is extremely slow but thorough and that taxes me too much if try mentally sprint all the time. Especially if it's negative. I wonder if you both are the same.

Good question. I think my husband gets overloaded with social stuff because it exhausts him. He winds down with a cup of tea and by plugging his brain into the internet to read web comics, Hacker News, Dr Who forum, Reddit. I read comparatively slowly because I like to think about all the possible angles on something, which also means I retain things I read.

And social stuff doesn't exhaust me, except if it's negative, and I put that down to having complex PTSD, for me. I'm comfortable around decent people. My Aspie traits are mostly to do with the ability to get immersed in things, but I'm not monomanic - very broad interests (which don't include cricket, football or beer). Also sensory hypersensitivities etc.
