I’m usually terrible at establishing and maintaining irl friendships but she approached me first (we’re neighbors.) She’s about my age and we have similar interests and are both extroverts. Plus it’s good for me to have female friends to talk about more emotional stuff, go out to clubs, go shopping, get nails done, etc.

But most of my female friends have either gotten bored with me, gotten too competitive appearance-wise and about boys, started fat shaming me, and gossiped behind my back, so I’ve felt betrayed by most of them.
I really want to have a close friend my age who is also a girl. But I don’t want to engage in drama over boys or “who is prettier?” But mostly I don’t want her to think I’m strange… :( :(
