I understand that some people don’t like purebred dogs and some people don’t like Pitbull-type dogs. But it’s no reason to be rude. I don’t give people a hard time for having mixed breed dogs or Goldendoodles.

You met a real life troll. Just imagine how she is online. Lol

Even her dogs hate her.

Lmao. Definitely a troll… didn’t even say hi back and just glared at me like I was disgusting. I’m a very friendly person but sometimes I’m not a fan of the human race.

I dealt with people like that online… which is why I said “bye Felicia” to social media. xD

Not only do I hate Pitbulls, but I am not 100% sold on dogs in general. You still don't be rude to dogs or their owners.
(Last pit bull I saw walking was actually super friendly.)

People have always been this way--not that it's a comfort, but it's the way it is. And this is New England. Saying hi to strangers is more Southern.

I love Pitbulls lol… my dogs aren’t technically Pits, more like Mastiffs, but people mistake them often.
Part of why I hate living in New England is because of the people. More reasons I’m seriously contemplating a move to Canada. Maybe not everyone in Canada is nice either but the people there were extremely friendly to me when I visited. And they didn’t say anything racist (people do here, often.)

I understand. My ex was different then me and we lived in a racist state, (mid-west- where they burnt the city down). We didn't suffer too much, but other mixed couples did.

Omg, I’m so sorry! :( Massachusetts is “liberal” but actually has a reputation for being racist… especially the part I live in. I am mixed Portuguese and mostly Latina so I don’t look like much of anyone else in my neighborhood. Sometimes Black people are harassed here :(

The south isn't as bad in some places--Grew up in small town SC and it was actually more integrated, more diverse, and a lot more chilled out than up north, in some respects. Enough different races down south that no matter what you look like, you'll blend in.

I’ve heard that parts of the South are pretty bad too. Massachusetts isn’t any better though. There is not much of a Hispanic or Black population where I live currently. People treat me ok in my neighborhood but not so much in the main town here. More complicated because I’m adopted and I have white parents. But Boston has that reputation too even though it’s a much more diverse city :/

I hope it’s ok to talk about race on here. I’m trying not to say anything political.

For what it’s worth I don’t think I have ever met another person like me who is autistic.

A lot of times people in different racial groups don't get diagnosed--It is already visible with the sex disparity; women get ignored by some doctors. And at least where I was growing up, mental health was seen as "for them libruls up north"

It is all very odd. I think people in general are susceptible to the full variety of mental conditions (good effects or bad.) However, whether they get diagnosed is often something else altogether!
L
Luca
Yes, I think because people of my culture (at least in America) are usually very religious and traditional and often superstitious too (trying not to generalize here), it might be less common for us to have parents who are willing to seek out/accept a diagnosis.

It was Minneapolis. It's pretty bad there. Woman aren't treated to well either, and it's not friendly to consumers rights.
