Our old Volvo once had a dud battery. Got in, turn the key; engine turns once not very fast. Second time slower and the third time slower again... one cylinder fired and away it went.

Volvo made awesome cars.
The Corolla has not had a battery for six years. After coming home from a trip I decided to change the oil and left the lights on.
Well -- looks like I have to walk, or figure out a way to jump it.

The old car is fairly reliable so I think there's no problem apart from the battery. And it was very slow turning over this morning.

Oh dear.
Winter does seem to enjoy weecking auto batteries.
