That's partially the reason why children who grew up on farms rarely get sick.

Agree about needing to grow up eating dirt. My family used to be farmers back in the day. However I get the reasons why we needed social distance for this particular instance. Lost too many people and it's still going strong back in the Motherland where I have family where sanitation is basically nonexistent.

I don't mind that our immune systems took a hit; it'll eventually pick back up now that we're trying to go back to normal. Small price to pay.

Oh and being in the hotel business as a child also built up our immunity. Try cleaning up after some nasty hotel guests in the summer heat every day. We rarely got sick.

Just saw an article in Science where the Epsilon variant has been identified. It overcomes immunity from the mRNA vaccines [Pfizer, Moderna]. Scary. But it indicates that those vaccines are not specific to the ACE binding site, but to less important elements of the spike protein.

Sorry to hear this. I practically screamed at a guy to stay 6ft in convenience store.

Yes I heard as well. So many back home aren't vaccinated so it becomes a breeding ground for variants to develop unfortunately. We're okay though.. still truckin'
