Juli L.

Not sure where to start...I have two vastly different adult sons on the spectrum. Have spent my life being the youngest of 6 and “the good daughter”...quiet, taking care of family with disabilities.

Discovered my true passion in life when my youngest was diagnosed at 23 months old, had regressed to nonverbal and highly aggressive. The rest is too long to go into here.

But after publishing professionally, starting a successful nonprofit in service to the nonprofit sector...I was finally so overwhelmed by all in my life that I was unable to function. Which led to all the background—nonverbal until age 4, feeding issues, sleep disorder, perseveration, social anxiety, splintering of skills, sensory dysfunction and more...and last but not least, my diagnosis.

It all makes total sense now—but is indeed a new paradigm.

Thankful for the children who have gone before me to show me how beautiful Autism and my own self truly am/are....

I’m excited to meet more of my peers here!
