What else do people like doing instead of computers?

A couple of days ago I put together another video which I call "Downtime". This explains what else I enjoy doing that don't involve computers, social media or internet. I have a long list of recreation activities as explained in this video.

Please also subscribe to my channel if you have a YouTube account.

So what do you like doing that don't involve any use of computers, social media or the internet?

Darn, read the title and was going to say "smartphone" like smart ass lol. :p
I have been living in a flat (apartment) with a tiny below ground garden for the last three years (four summers) and I have been determined to make it something to be proud of. I am not boasting saying that mine is the best looking, fullest, most floriferous garden on the row, actually on the whole road. I have leaky windows that let sound (and freezing cold winds) through so when I sit in my living room I hear passers by when they're leaning over the railings checking out my garden and talking about how excellent they think it is and it makes me feel elated! :)
I am glad to have net curtains to not be visible to them when they are complimenting my work of course lol! :")

I mainly play Magic the Gathering, or Dungeons and Dragons, and Warhammer 40k, though I'm thinking if selling all that (Warhammer) stuff, I just don't have the motivation to continue painting any of my stuff anymore and no one here where I am even plays so there's no point; I was going to collect and paint them, but I have no space for that either.

I have way more than just those now, those are old photos.

There was a time when I thought the original Rubik's Cube was basically impossible. Now it's super easy. I have learned much.

Listening to music, cooking, walking, gathering mushrooms or herbs, gardening, travelling/visiting places.

Xbox! OK it's another form of computer, but Xbox is basically my life, down with Sony! PS4 sucks!

Drawing, painting 40k miniatures, collecting and trying out art supplies, listening to music, cooking, walking in foresty places... I wish I lived closer to a forest as I'd totally become an expert on all the mushrooms that grow there! I used to play a lot of computer games, but after 12 years of World of Warcraft I gave that up a while back. I still take an interest in serial killers and minds of socio/psychopaths to some degree, so I read up on that sometimes.

....It's almost the exact same machine though... I mean, seriously, there's hardly any difference between the two at this point. They're both very slow and extremely restricted computers made by evil greedy jerkbags. Even the game selection is nearly identical. Very rarely there'll be a console exclusive, but this only helps the top brass at each company. It sure aint a good thing for consumers OR developers. Remember: Microsoft doesnt care about you any more than Sony does. They would throw you into a giant blender if they thought it'd give them 5 extra pennies.

I'll never understand the console war, or brand loyalty. Even back when Genesis did what Nintendon't, I just never cared. Instead of taking sides, I'd rather just take a hammer and smash them all. Wouldnt be the first time destroying one. I threw a PS2 into a lake, once. It had it coming.

You threw a console into a Lake? Are you having a flipping laugh?!

My aspie nephew likes to cook with me, go with me for long, rambling walks, and take multiple choice tests which I create for him. He also likes to grocery shop with me, wearing his hearing protectors and pushing the cart, and sing in the church choir (he has a beautiful voice).

Well, when I said "it had it coming", I really meant it. I'll tell the story real quick:

This was the PS2 slim. If you never had one of those, it was a piece of absolute garbage. The original PS2 was a hardy device. One of those machines that could take a hit and keep on ticking. But later models got more and more shoddy. More and more chances to have problems. The Slim was the worst though. There was a REASON the original PS2 was kinda bulky. The designers of the Slim seemed to forget that, and that meant it INHERENTLY had problems. Hell, I worked at Gamestop when those came out; I still remember the part where SO MANY PEOPLE came back to return/exchange the things when they quickly went bonkers. We had alot of angry customers as a result of that thing. This was all nearing the later part of the console's overall lifecycle, so I always figured it was because Sony was kinda losing interest, knowing that it was nearly time to move on.

Well, I had one too, after my older PS2 broke. In fact, I had LOTS of them... not just Slims. I never had an ORIGINAL PS2 model, the really old ones... I only had later models, when they were going to crap, and then the Slims. I went through the damn things like candy. 6! I went through 6 of them! I know, most people would stop after like, ONE, but I'm nothing if not horribly stubborn and determined (and they werent expensive at that point... like I said, the PS2 era was nearing it's end). Particularly when it comes to electronics. The last 3 or so were Slim units, and they were the worst. I had one that required a boot or a stapler in order to run. I know that sounds ridiculous, but I'm being dead serious here. The thing WOULD NOT RUN unless something heavy enough was pushing the lid down. The only objects I could find at the right weight were a boot and a stapler. It was one of those things where I'd tell friends about it, they wouldnt believe me, and then I'd outright show it to them. Reactions were funny.

The one that went into the lake was... sort of a "final straw" moment. I have a very short fuse to begin with. No patience whatsoever, and if I get enraged, things get broken. That godforsaken piece of junk, like the FIVE before it, showed signs of it's impending demise. And then what was left of my tolerance just SNAPPED. Put it in the car, drove it out there (very short drive), launched it, watched the splash.

Went home, sold the entire collection of PS2 games. Now, there was some cool stuff on that thing... Dark Cloud and Fantavision being a couple of favorites... but even those didnt make that horrid device worth it. Sold them, didnt regret it for a moment.

I've gained more control over my anger in the years since, but still.

I think that might have been right around the time that my loathing of the Big Three and AAA games in general started to rear it's head. I remember I wasnt exactly too pleased with Microsoft or Nintendo either at the time. Though I dont remember exactly why.

Reading, mostly Sci Fi, but over rthe last year at got hooked on Brandon Sanderson.

Math. Writing poetry

Building or making anything. Most commonly Metal Earth models, baking cookies.

Folding straws.

Ok so besides electronic stuff cuz I love all that.
I enjoy archery, reading, writing, and doing puzzles.

Nice collection. Did you ever get into the Rubiks Magic glass panel puzzles? I still have both of mine, both the smaller "link the rings" and the larger "unlink the rings", in a box out in the garage. I solved them in a matter of seconds at a school talent show back in the day.

Honestly I don't even really like computers, they're just a tool for me to do what I need. I like working on my old 80s/90s cars. Working on things in my garage. I like to weld, and fix things that most people would throw away. I like to play bass, and some keyboard. I like searching for oddball channels on my 10 ft satellite dish. I like reading tangible nonfiction books. And I like camping/going to quiet desolate pretty places during the offseason, primarily up north like the Mackinac Bridge and the UP.
