What are your quirks?

I'm curious what kind of quirks, or silly habits, eveyone deals with.

For example, when I'm driving, if I'm making a turn from a stop sign and there are cars coming, I will take a very long time to pull away. I think this is due to poor depth perception. I often make other drivers behind me angry, but they can wait.

Also, when I'm eating, I eat in proportions. I never would have noticed this myself, but someone pointed it out to me. Every time I eat, no matter what I have, or how much, I finish everything within a few bites of each other (if that makes sense).

Hmm, I do both of those, but I never really attributed them to AS or considered them quirks. Some of the things I do consider quirks are related to stimming--like jumping and flapping and sometimes squeaking when I get excited. I also script quite a lot--quoting lines from books, movies, or TV shows, sometimes in order to make a point or express a thought, or sometimes just because it's what I was thinking about. I like to dance about rather frequently, too, and often when I'm waiting for things I spin in a circle. It passes the time :)

i think i have a lot of things like that, but most are little things like if i'm reading i have to move my fingers or my toes or i can't concentrate and i have a lot of little things with food like i can't have any of the food touching or i won't eat it. most of them are things that i don't notice much but my family will point out to me.

I used to get upset about my food touching, too. When I was in elementary and middle school (grades 1-8), we had trays for our food that kept everything separate, but in high school and college (university for those of you in the lovely UK), they just put food on a plate altogether and I had to learn to eat it or be hungry. It wasn't so bad, once I got used to it, but when I was little, I would definitely tantrum if my food was touching.

With food, it's just basically not being able to eat certain ones that have weird textures. So alot of food ended up getting thrown out and sitll does lol. But as far as other quirks, wow, it's hard to say what I would consider a quirk while someone else would perceive it as just me being me. So in other words, too many to list here :P

Clenching and saying 'oh well' all the time. I copied it from someone when I was little, when I was into picking up 'behaviours', and it's stuck.

edit: if you mean specifically Aspie quirks...gosh! I won't go on about them.
