What are your current obsessions?

It seems my obsession is about gaming and forums which it seems I can't live without, its like I live inside one.
Also one of my weirdest obsessions is Sci-Fi, I could watch it all day long if I really could.

Also it just keeps changing which I find pretty annoying but I actually do enjoy them, I even got a whole star wars collection.

Some of my obessions include computers (pretty obvious), website devleopment, fourms and gaming.

When I was younger, I was hugely obsessed with contstuction vehicles and had a very large collection of replica diecast models. This obsession lasted even into my early teenage years. I still have most of the models stored in my attic, some complete with the box.

At the moment, I am getting increasingly obsessed with photography and taking photographs. I'm not so much interested in how a camera works, it's more just taking photographs. I tend to take photographs when i'm with friends and socialising and then reflect on these photos when i'm feeling down. I have a tonne of photographs on my Facebook page.

My main special interests are:

  • the internet, mostly the nerdy bits of the net though like 4chan

  • mental disorders, especially autism and all that jazz.

  • great apes (my username should give you a clue), one of my biggest ambitions is to go to the congo and observe the chimps and bonobos. Maybe even meet one.
Second rate obsessions:

  • evolution both in biology and psychology

  • religion, even though I am non-religious

  • dreams, this is my longest lasting one since I have been obsessed with dreams to varying degrees since I was about 4/5

My obsessions include watching sports (though I ain't good in sports), geography, music and any cool non-fiction books with lots of pictures. :H

My long term obsessions are filmmaking along with computers/electronics and I hope to have a career in the film industry.
I also have a number of smaller obsessions which change from week to week.

all my life i had different obsessions

1 year it was twins i was amazed by twins in wanted to have twins when i got marry.
1 year it was looking at police officers
1 year it was to be rich in famous for the wrong reason
1 year in Meany: other me dying now i ignore those feeling. or at least i try too.
poetry is
:geek:

1 year it was twins i was amazed by twins in wanted to have twins when i got marry.

I remember having an obsession with twins, I always wanted to be one until I realized the disadvantages of it of getting blame for what the other half have done.

I thought twins can also look different? If they are born at almost the same time, why should the other twin be blamed?

Sorry for my lame question, lol

Twins can look different but I think they are talking about identical twins.

I have twin cousins who are identical and I literally cannot tell them apart. Every time I go up to their place for a visit, I always have to ask their names. When they're in school, one often pretends to be the other but sometimes the teacher realizes this. They even told me that sometimes they will switch classes (they are both in separate classes in school) without getting noticed. I suppose having an identical twin does have it's advantages.

I always wondered how strange it would be to bump into your identical twin who you didn't know existed. I once saw somebody who looked very similar to myself, to the extreme that I nearly asked when their birthday was. That was kind of strange.

Once, I asked about the instruments that you play, somewhere in this wonderful forum...

Now just curious, what are your favorite bands and songs? :)

I like Duran Duran, particularly their song 'The Union of the Snake' and 'Ordinary World'. :)

Are you talking to me?

If so, I am way too manic to like one certain band or song. I really do love Bach though.

pbx systems and telephone stuff.
I like putting together a pbx fone system and
making the different extensions work.

My brother and me have a home pbx system
now and it is less confusing and now when
someone calls for me it don't ring my brother's
fone and bug him and his don't bug me.

and we can ring each other over the fone
this is sumthin we coodint do before and
now we don't gotta shout up and down
the stairz anymore.

The movies Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate factory, both directed by Tim Burton. Technically my obsession with them started in early to mid February, but it?s been an on-again, off-again type of thing since sometimes I feel like obsessing over other movies (particularly those starring Johnny Depp). But no matter what movies I obsess over, I always wind up going back to AiW and CatCF.

In both films, I love the characters? exaggerated personalities and colorful costumes, as well as the fantasy worlds they explore. My favorite characters are Alice, the Mad Hatter and Willy Wonka. They are a constant presence in my imagination; they keep me from feeling lonely and I?ve been able to avoid meltdowns by thinking about them.

In response to the earlier topic of twins in this thread, I?d like to mention that I enjoy imagining that Alice and I are twin sisters. We have a lot in common: same age, same hair color/length, same face shape, similar personalities. Even our names sound like twin names (mine is Alex). I have two sisters in real life, but we are distant due to a large age gap (they are 10+ years older than me) and our vastly different lifestyles and personalities.

i use to wish that my sister and brother who are twins wouldnt of been in she n me could of been twins the main reason i felt if i was a twin then i have 1 friend for life. lol i guess i thought it was unfair i had no friends why didnt god give me a twin, sound kinda crazy now that i think about it. :twitcy:

Wow. I appreciate classical music too, but I like Mozart's piano sonata K448 the best --- because it is really calming. :D

Hm... Technology, Computers, Anime, Manga, Internet, Libraries, Knowledge, Facebook, Menewsha, Learning, Politics, History, Hm... I can't think of anything else. I do collect things like plushies, action figures, figurines, manga, and other stuff that are collectible.

I can have obsessions with anything. :p
