Very weird situation at work

Yep, I'm new here and I thought I'd start posting as soon as I got here

Uhhmm.. About 8 months ago I met a guy at work. He seemed to grab my attention at the very minute.. There was something about him, that I just can't put my finger on.. He tried to talk to me, but his social skills are not good, so he just says a couple of words and I replied "oh, right" and then I walked away.. I am such a retard btw!!

Some people think this guy is crazy, some think he is just weird.. He has this blank stare and he looks up quite often. Some people think he's making faces or being rude.. But I don't.. I can tell he is a very nice person!!

He started staring at me and suddenly started "following" me around. He does not talk, just follows me around. I kinda liked it.. He would be in a corner somewhere just looking at me.. Then he seemed to be waiting for me to make some kind of move. Well I'm am so weird myself. I get stressed so I just pass him and hum a song (ave maria or something ridiculous) and my eyes blink like crazy.. Sometimes he looks at me and I can see he is smiling.. Sometimes I just turn around to find him looking at me and smiling..
He has seen all these crazy things I do, even when I walk on my toes, when I hum, and when i act crazy - And he just smiles!! Makes me really want to be his friend!!! People say he never smiles, but he does, I know and he has got a beautiful smile!!!

I AM so 100% sure he is an aspie. And I'm sure he has noticed I'm not exactly "normal" either.. But what to do, when even saying hello is hard?? And I can see it is very hard for him too.. Sometimes we are in a cafe, and we just sit there, not saying anything.. He also looks at me in the eyes, so we make eye contact, which is weird! This eye contact lasts supernaturally long too.. I like it, but communication is not easy that way! :nah:

One is never an Aspie unless diagnosed - and if he has Aspie features. good for him, he can do well in whatever he sets out to do.

OH, God. I know I should just ask him out, but I just can't, I just can't! I can't! You have any idea, how hard it can be? I can hardly look at him... It does not help that he behaves the way he does..

Geordie you are correct. I agree. NO one is aspie, unless diagnosed. However he does have many AS traits.. I just said I feel sure he is an aspie.. That is not the absolute truth, it cannot be -- It is just my limited experience. I must say however that his behaviour is not typical, in my opinion. A 'typical' guy would not follow me around (mild stalking) in that way.. A 'typical' guy would just ask me out. And one question comes to mind, why on earth do I enjoy his stalking, I DO! LOL:lol:

I have a question: so, an aspie is only an aspie unless officially diagnosed...by who? A doctor, psychiatrist, or specialist of some knd? What if someone else knows more about it then they do?

In short, yes.

The second question happens to one of my friends. He just does not want to get diagnosed... He can't figure out what's AS
