Things which have made you happy lately

What are things which have made you happy lately?

. I met a nice person from my Asperger's forum Spectrumville who added me to MSN. I'm also glad that the board is no longer dead. I dedicated some time creating threads, giving more users mod status, and changing various other things around.
. I received a first-edition hardcover version of one of my favorite books The Cider House Rules which is in near-mint condition. Best of all, it was free. There must have been a glitch in the site I ordered it from since no funds came out of my PayPal account.
. My confidence level has been strangely high lately, which has made me have an easy time speaking to people.
. I have a large quantity of tea which will last me ages.
. Seiken Densetsu 3, a game I recently resumed, has progressively been getting better. I'm also starting to appreciate that game's soundtrack; it's not as bad as I initially thought.
. I downloaded and burnt DVD-R rips of the rare and expensive Polish set of Dekalog, a great Polish TV drama series. Each episode is based on the ten commandments, and me being agnostic may make you wonder why I like it, but it's great, albeit not very well-known among the general public - not even in Poland.

This is for listing only the positive things which have happened to you over the span of a month or less.

For me, it has been my growing success with socialising and making friendships - particularly this year. I'm not perfect at it but it is getting (slowly) better and better. I'm also happy that I'm making more of an effort to go outside rather than sit in my bedroom.

I watched a great film called "Blood for Dracula".

It's one of the funniest movies I've watched. I liked it just as much as "Flesh for Frankenstein".

I have a 'lori' who learned a few new words lately,I have been working with the affectionate little bird for some time to stop him from saying a few 'choice words' in front of people I do not know, and this is paying off. I passed with 'flying colours' a test on 'geometry',and had afterwords been told that many other students at College had difficulties with this. That made my day, without a doubt!

The fact that I'm seeing my best friend on Saturday. I haven't seen him since summer, I've been missing him like crazy. I suck at keeping in touch with people and so does he, so the gaps between meetings are way too long.

I put quite a bit of money into my PayPal account and am planning on buying stuff I've been wanting to get for a while.

Well, today I got an unexpected phone call from my girlfriend and second, I actually got paid some of the money that I got from preordering "Call of Duty - Black Ops" and I must say, it's not too bad and it's rather interesting. :)

I had my first driving lesson last Wednesday and I'm glad to have the opportunity to learn to drive.

I never thought I'd say this but being back at school has made me happy. I'm in the 6th form now and I don't find it anywhere near as stressful as the pevious years, especially years 10 and 11. What's also good is that I'm becoming more confident around people my own age. The atmosphere has changed now, and I'm not their figure of fun any more.

:DSomething slse that makes me Happy-Nice warm sunlight on a cold day! I will sit infront of a window and soak up the warm sunlight,I understand why cats do this,it feels good!

I had a good time at my friend's 21st birthday party. Made 3 new friends and added them all on Facebook. Took loads of photos (one of my interests is photography).

Nice. Do you think you'll hang out with these people on a regular basis?

On a regular basis - no. Two live at the other end of the country and the third lives in the city which is were my friend and him go to University (also has an apartment there) and where he had his party. Still, I suppose I could meet up with them all again on birthdays or if I'm at my friend's apartment I could see the third, who also lives there.

Another friend of mine plans to use that apartment in the city for his 18th birthday which is coming up at the end of March. So, there's a chance to meet up with the guy who share's my friend's apartment in the city.

I discovered that an Ebay seller sells 100 packs of Feather razor blades (sharp Japanese blades) for $30 with shipping/handling. For a second I was a little wary thinking that they could be fake blades, but the seller is a "Power Seller" with a very high feedback score which means that these will certainly be legit blades.

I'm very excited about having found these blades for such a cheap price. 100 packs of Feather blades on other sites usually cost double the price this Ebay seller is charging for his blades.

So it looks like I'll be switching over to using safety razors rather than standard cartridge ones. Using a safety razor with these blades will save me lots of money and should allow me to get a much closer shave. You supposedly can get up to 8 great shaves with a single Feather blade which means that a 100 pack of these blades should last me over two years. :D

Does anyone else here use a safety razor? If so, have you ever used Feather blades?

I just made a massive, giant change and am now officially living in a new country.
And everyone has been awesome so far.
I also am looking forward to seeing my boyfriend again this weekend.
Also, getting back into my online routine and catching up there once things are settled.

I feel like a massive weight has been lifted.
I feel like I have a newfound fresh start in my life and I'm not so lost socially.

:)

I found a place to get (legit) class 10 32 GB microSDHC flash memory cards for $40 or less (including shipping). I'll be adding that to an 8 GB Sansa Clip+ so that I'll have a total of 40 GB of space. :)

Heh... funny someone made a new post in this thread right now, as I'm reading up on depressions and how they work.

But on topic... hm... stuff that made me happy... I'm happy my project is making progress. Nothing too fast though, but in general, I'm quite content with the direction it's going. But in a way, I'm responsible for it myself I guess. Yay me!

Also; the fact that nights are getting longer again, makes me very, very happy :D

Flip. That's a lot of storage space! How many songs you got? Are they all in Flac or something? :D

What makes you happy about long nights? I usually get the games console out once the nights get darker and longer.

99.9% of the songs on my computer are FLAC, so that 40 GB isn't quite overkill IMO. If I'd convert FLAC files to MP3s I could very well fit well over 60,000 MP3s on a tiny Clip+ . . . which would be pretty cool but that would be a little too much music, perhaps. It would take a long time to go through all my albums. :D

I have over 100 GB of music on my computer's HDD, but I'd probably have well over 1 TB if I had the space. I always have to delete stuff to make room for more music. :(

I really need to get a new HDD (or two) but always have other stuff to get. :(
