Any fellow aspies ever had a fixation with poker? A couple of years ago I won a lot of money then blew it all. Currently only play the free rolls and don't go to casinos anymore.

Great tactics!I really like to play poker as long as there are no silly little kids games included. I have found that the secret to poker, for me, is no alcohol. If I do not drink, pay attention and play smart then eventually I will end up with all the chips. The only time I ever get to play these days is with my sons, son in laws and their friends. They all seem to think that drinking beer is part of the game. I stay patent and drink Diet Coke. If we play long enough, I will get all of their money.
Sounds great but don't you find it hard to understand when you get a nasty bad beat because poker is surrounded by many saying it's a skill so when that happens I question life itself lol!Pai gow, texas hold 'em, sev card stud, five card draw? Name your came, ante up and deal 'em. (Note I will play for real money, minutes of doing chores for the winner, having to cook for the winner, whatever but not enough money to damage my opponent's budget.)
If I want to play for high stakes, I'll do that in a casino and be sure I'm at a table filled with designer gowns and Armani suits - they can all afford it as well as I can.
I don't know how to play any other card games unfortunately!Never much interested in poker. I always preferred rummy--and not gin, which I have never played and I have no idea what the rules are, but rummy. But I rarely meet people who want to play cards at all. I'll play poker if that's all I can get, but the whole bluffing thing is not something I get too engaged with.
I've taught people to play. It's actually very simple. It has both luck and strategy, which I really likeI don't know how to play any other card games unfortunately!
