If you want to read articles about eugenics research, autistic mice, barely ethical drug trials and a perspective on autistic involvement in research that is actively antagonistic, you'll find plenty to keep you happy in Spectrum
There is still some value to be found in Spectrum but one must be careful what one reads. It is not suitable reading for the faint of heart.
 
It's an interesting website. I personally don't think it's all about trying to cure it. Although if what happens to autism that has happened to Down Syndrome - in the sense that it's detectable in utero then that would not be good!

It's a fairly well balanced website in my view.
