Sony DSC-W12 Cybershot camera memory stick?

Topic.

Bought this camera from work (A Charity shop) the week before last for £8.50, it's a good little camera for the price and it does come with a memory stick, but I'm looking for another one.

I've looked on eBay, Amazon and PC World but can't find anything suitable.

Can anyone help?

Please don't just tell me to use Google, as mentioned I've checked the sites I'd normally use.

I think you're projecting your own opinions onto other people with
that line about not insulting you for buying a Sony product. I know
that speaking for myself, it is not possible for me to care less about what
brands you purchase.

Maybe you could ask at a camera shop.

I don't know where the camera shop in Meadowhall is, there was one in Town near the Ponds Forge Tram stop but it's gone ages ago.

Might try Jessops this week.

Hmm, I've found a few memory sticks on PC World just now that might work, and they're only 6 quid for 16 Gig.

Might nip down this week.

That's a 14-year old camera model. Before considering a 16GB memory stick, absolutely verify whether or not your camera can even handle one of that capacity. The original operator's manual specifically states that it has been confirmed to handle only a 1 GB memory stick.

Here are two other Sony compatibility charts that show that the DSC-W12 does not work with various Sony memory sticks with more than a 1GB capacity:

Well I Googled and found a PDF of the manual last week, it does come with one but the text is that small I can't see it even with glasses on.

Yeah, I couldn't read the comparison charts without readers on top of my prescription glasses. All very fine print indeed.

Hmm, if it's an older model that's not supported any more I might see if I can flog it on eBay and put the funds towards a newer camera.

Or see if the camera shop in Meadowhell does trade ins.

Try to get hold of a 10x loupe such as the ones I've linked below. They are extremely useful tools to have around at such moments. Make sure you get one with a mineral (glass) lens though - polycarb causes too much distortion and chromatic aberration. These ones linked I can personally recommend, are quite inexpensive and available from vendors all over the world.

Well I put the camera on eBay last week, for £9 starting price (meh, I paid £8.50 for it, I wanted a profit), but it didn't sell, so it was relisted last Tuesday, and AFAIK nobody's bidded on it yet.
