I’m using a skincare product called Bubble on my face and I still get acne…I have tried other skincare products before and I still get acne.

I clicked on "organic skincare" although I don't know what that means in the context of soap. I use CeraVe products, the facial wash and the hydrating cream. I tend to have dry skin, and the moisturizing cream (not the lotion) is great.

Cera Ve makes my skin worse. I think I’m just going to wash my face naturally with soap and water. Organic means natural. Like natural products like avocado or something like that. It uses earth made products without the chemicals.

A suggestion about conquering acne - use a hot, moist washcloth twice a day on your face. Get it as hot as your hands can stand, hold the washcloth over your face for several minutes until it cools off, and then do it again. It will help steam your pores open so your face soap can penetrate and clean out the pores.

Although "experts" claim that diet has no effect on acne, my experience is completely different. You are what you eat, and your overall health is affected by your diet. I recommend avoiding sugar and excessive animal fats, and eating a lot of fresh veggies, fruit, whole grains, legumes, and low-fat proteins like lean chicken and fish. Drink a lot of water, too!

Thank you so much. You really are a sweetheart

I use only body soap for my face. Every special face product I ever used caused me more problems with blemishes. Through trial and error I found basic soap is the best for my skin type. (Oily)

Skin care is actually my newest special interst, but I've studied it only for a couple of years (and intensively only for months now). I have been lucky and avoided issues such as acne or other typical skin issues, but due to my Body Dysmorphic Disorder I use skin care for rejuvenation (taking care of my skin and hair helps me with it a little, mentally at least), as during my menopausal years I've noticed changes in my skin that are just normal. I'm at the beginning of this particular special interest, so I've had the tendency to over-do it, due to being so excited about learning about it and testing different things.
I would say that do what suits your skin the best.

Nowadays I use different so-called actives or active ingredients, and wash my face with gentle cleansers that are meant for the face skin. After starting my skin care hobby I've noticed that I'm no longer hiding my skin (I used to see it as ugly and uneven toned / reddish before).

If your skin feels better after washing it with the natural products, do it. :) I used to wash my face mostly just with water all my life before my new skin care hobby (or with the shampoo dripping over it too when washing my hair), because I didn't use make-up in my personal life, only when I had to (then I washed it off with harsh soaps etc.). The water washing was enough for my face when I didn't use any other products either.

Natural sources can be great for the skin! Active ingredients are for example the vitamins applied on your skin, they can do miracles (almost :) ). I sometimes even use the juice from an orange to get vitamin c (a great active for dull aging skin!). I make different kinds of face-masks from different natural ingredients that I read about.
Also vitamin a is a very effective ingredient, for both rejuvenation and also acne. You've probably heard of retinol/retinoids, they are a form of vitamin a, some are over-the-counter retinols, and some are prescription medications (mainly for acne, but also in some countries prescribed for rejuvenation too). They can be a bit irritating at first, so they should be started carefully. There is also something called bakuchiol, which is often referred to as a non-irritating form of "retinol" (though it might irritate too, depending on the skin).
So a lot of skin care actives too, like vitamins, can be derived from completely natural sources. So why not washing and other forms of skin care too.

I've noticed my skin isn't very sensitive to different products (unless I've used too much retinol) and I can use almost anything for my skin, for example my face skin loves coconut oil, although most people say it clogs the pores for them. I like to use different kinds of natural oils, many of them also have some active benefits. I can use a lot of "occlusives" without getting my pores clogged. So my skin is quite weird. :)

(I know you didn't ask about the actives and all that, but I accidentally lectured a bit about my newest special interest as per usual...sorry! :) )

I have oily skin too. And acne prone skin. So I have to use dove. Dove works wonders for me. 😊

Thank you! I think they say honey works great for the skin too. I have to buy my own honey.

No problem! :) Honey is great for me too! I sometimes do honey face masks so that I just apply honey on my face and let it sit for 20-30 mins or so (however feels good) before rinsing it off, or washing it off with a very gentle cleanser or an oil, depending on how well I get it off from everywhere like the hairline. :)

Does scented soap irritate your skin?

Yes, it does, and I don't like artificial perfumes and smells, either. My dermatologist recommended I use Dove for sensitive skin when I was diagnosed with eczema. I've conquered the eczema since I realized I'm allergic to chicken eggs but I still like that kind of soap.

My favorite "perfume" is to grab a handful of fresh rosemary or oregano from my herb garden and crush it to release the essential oils. I guess I like to smell like a pizza. :p

I use lavender soap that was imported from England.mit was from Walmart lmao. I love it. I need to buy dove body wash instead of bath and body works. The packaging is pretty but it’s not good for the skin.
