Setting up WI-Fi connection to UK Sky+HD Box

Topic.

I've followed the onscreen prompts on Sky itself and still can't connect, I know the Router password is case sensitive, and the Router and Sky box are both in the same room, but I can't seem to connect!

I don't want to have to ring Sky up and request a connector because I hate talking to their Foreign call centre, they can't understand my strong Yorkshire accent.

Can anyone help?

I'd check- and recheck the password before assuming it's anything else. The simplest thing perhaps having the most plausible explanation. Syntax errors, especially if you have a particularly lengthy password in upper and lower case characters. And to make sure there aren't any large metal objects between your cable box and modem/router that can attenuate your wi-fi signal.

Hopefully it's not a hardware machine number issue relative to a specific location in your home. I have two cable modems in two different locations but discovered they aren't interchangeable because of the way my provider inputted each modem's machine number into their database. Security and all.
