Science versus religion and the creation story your thoughts

Hi everyone, some summer reading may be for some of you.

What are your views on this subject to you- do you think that there being a Creator God is in harmony/support with the creation story and Science theories of creation or do you think that science and the creation story are incompatible and why.

I am not an expert in this area by any means of science theories. When I was an undergraduate at university I myself was drawn to study a module called Creation, Science and Faith today in my degree course of religious studies major/communications minor. This was before this subject was popular or before the internet was even common place at home to discuss on forums etc. I formed these views alone.

I formed the view that the creation story which applies to the three Abrahamic faiths was not at odds with the Big Bang theories/Comsic Inflation and many believers in God also support this view. The work of Hugo Ross and Gerald L Schroeder who are experts might be a good place to explore more on this subject.

The below is from information online about the theories-the Steady state theory is seen by many as outdated now. I have uploaded an astrophysics magazine at the end which can clicked on and saved and enlarged to read privately.

Scientific Theories:

Big Bang Theory:

This is a cosmological model for the universe's evolution, suggesting it expanded from an extremely hot, dense state. Evidence like redshift and cosmic microwave background radiation supports this theory.

Steady State Theory:
An older theory that proposed the universe has always existed and is continuously creating matter. It has largely been superseded by the Big Bang theory.

Other Theories:
BBC platforms delve into various scientific ideas, such as theories about the nature of dark matter, Einstein's theory of relativity, and the implications of chaos theory.
...........

I will give you my blog post, but this post is much more developed than that-but has got a short video of the globe that some might like to see.

It depends on how literally or metaphorically you take the Biblical creation story.

For example, the whole "seven days of creation" makes zero literal scientific sense, but as a metaphorical timeline can work.

Too many questions left unanswered: Who created "God"? Does this imply some sort of parentage, a family, a community of Gods? What is a God...another form of life...and we, primitive beings perceive them as supernatural? Does "something" come from "nothing" or is this a misinterpretation of facts that simply elude us?

We can banter back and forth about this, but as mere human beings looking at the far and distant past, things being unwitnessed, all of this is speculation, no matter what science or the great religious texts would suggest.

We could waste a lot of mental energy on these topics or we can focus upon today and our futures.
