It never seemed like a science subject to me either really though it is classed as one. It is definitely not what I am referring to when talking about liking science. True, but astronomy observations can be used to make predictions which can be tested. When economists try to test predictions, I seem to pay more for everything.I view all the so called soft sciences this way. Either way Astronomy is for the most part observations,

At a university that shall remain nameless, a communications cable was run from one side of the campus to the other. The contractor installing it grounded the cable shield at both ends.
