I'm a big fan of piles of dirt (clean dirt) and social insects. So for me happiness is a huge termite mound.

I enjoy all the scientific fields that I listed in the survey to varying extents.

I view all the so called soft sciences this way. Either way Astronomy is for the most part observations,

Not a science as scientists would define it. More of a series of observations in search of a coherent discipline.
It never seemed like a science subject to me either really though it is classed as one. It is definitely not what I am referring to when talking about liking science. The so called hard sciences just seem more scientific somehow. 🤓🥽⚙️🧲🧪🔬🔭

True, but astronomy observations can be used to make predictions which can be tested. When economists try to test predictions, I seem to pay more for everything.

Computer science, the made-up science that some babbler Babbaged together. It's technically a lot of special cases of mathematics.

Astronomy and human anatomy were my special interests as a little kid! Nowadays, I'm still fascinated by these topics, though not as intensely. As of today, my favorite fields of science would have to be psychology and sociology.

Meteorology is a childhood obsession of mine. I feel like I have started finding it again. It's too bad I surpressed myself like I did. I would of probably strived in anything weather. Maybe I still can.

It is fascinating. One of the things I really like about Nevada...you never know what our skies will provide us.

Is geophysics geology or physics? I can bore people to tears in three minutes talking about how electricity flows through the ground.
At a university that shall remain nameless, a communications cable was run from one side of the campus to the other. The contractor installing it grounded the cable shield at both ends. A couple of years later there was a lightning strike quite near the campus… A very costly mistake! Luckily nobody was injured.
