Responding To Bullies With Humor

I like the absurdist response, the bully loses control of the situation. It also makes you unpredictable which works in your favour @FayetheADHDsquirrel

Do you ever find when ignoring it makes them try harder to get a reaction?
Unfortunately, yes some will try harder. Others not so much. Even the other people around that were not involved in bullying seem to get all wary of you though. And why? You haven't done anything. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But that's amusing too in it's own way, even if a bit isolating.

I have to give you alcolates for handling bullies the way you do. Never change that. It's a quality that serves a wonderful purpose.

Most have to work up to doing what you do innately.

They are frightened because they encountered a proverbial wall they didn't expect and don't know how to deal with it. In a way, your lack of response is reaffirming thier own insecurities. They don't fear you. They fear thier own truth.
I must admit that I wasn't quite that resilient when stuck with groups of bullies in the back room at work. I kinda withdrew a bit in that setting and just did my work. Not to say I didn't still laugh plenty, but it was more distressed rather than amused. Get out on the floor where you are only dealing with one or two and the more resilient and genuine amusement and carefree additude could pop back through a bit easier.
