People Literally Don’t Know When to Shut Up—or Keep Talking—Science Confirms

Always known that, even among neurotypicals some just don't want to keep talking. The article was intriguing though.

Science has proven many things.

Science has proven there are actual physical differences between men and women.
Science has proven water is wet.
Science has proven if you drop a bowling ball on your toe, it will hurt.
Science has proven if you put your hand on a hot stove, it will be burned.
Science has proven rats spread disease.

Science has proven grubbing for stupid grants is easier than doing actual science.

As a scientist, I find the last one offensive.

Scientists have just discovered people who only talk to animals live longer then people who talk to other people. l need to discuss the current economic situation with my pet gerbil.
