It looks like the box "Enable politics section" was already checked for me. But I still don't see any section other than autism-related one.

You are misunderstanding.
The only one we have is opt in only and only to be used for political posts that refer directly to legilation which effects the autistic community.

There is only one political forum.

You are grossly misunderstanding a simple concept.

There is only one political forum and the only topics that can be posted there are legislation that directly affects the autistic community.

If you want political debate and discourse, you will have to seek another outlet for it.

I am confused. I thought what distinguishes the politics forum that we don't need to opt in from the one where we do, is that the former is only autism related while the latter isn't. But now you are saying that the latter is autism related as well? Or am I misunderstanding you?

It's autism related only in regards to politics. So from what I understand, if there is a current event topic about how autism legislation might be in the news, it needs to be posted in the politics section that people need to opt-in in order to see that because autism related news, etc might be triggering for some people.

I am not sure why you are so upset with me. I am not trying to argue that you "should" have two politics sessions. I just mistakenly thought that this was the case because I assumed the "politics of autism" was already available as is, without opting in. Apparently I was wrong. A theory: perhaps while I could see it posted I would at some point be stopped if I were to actually go there? And I didn't realize this because I haven't tried to go there? In any case, I am not sure why you are so angry at me for this simple misunderstanding.

Anyway, when I suggested politics session I thought you haven't thought about it. Now I see that you had, and it was a thoughtout decision on your part. Then its fine.

What about health section? Was not having it similarly a thought through decision, or did you just forget to think about it?

I can speak from some experience from a different forum, a forum that claims to be an autism support site and which has or had a health section. I recall they had a sub-section for Women's Health. That sub-section was often filled with men who couldn't help but comment, "mansplain", etc about women's issues rather than respect a boundary. I also remember with that site that there was apparently a "Men's Health" sub-section in egalitarian fashion, but it was removed due to a combination of activity and reactions to the idea of a Men's Health section in the vein of: "Oh, brother..", :Gimme a break.", "Men don't need a separate health section", "Toughen up!", etc. and also from what I recall there were men that ruined it for the others with devolving it into attempting to post porn, etc.

It's quite straight forward. There's only one political section and it is for Autism Related topics only. If you want to whinge about your government this is not the correct forum.
