Well, it isn't a Christmas album, but one couldn't go without mentioning David Bowie & Bing Crosby doing Peace on Earth/The Little Drummer Boy. I'm a big time Bowie fan, but that song is bizarre.

My personal favorite, though it seems so mainstream to me that maybe it's not "odd" at all:

The December People and Trans-Siberian Orchetra specialise in Christmas music... Trans-Siberian Orchestra have released 7 albums all on the theme of Christmas.

"Winter Carols" by Blackmore's Night
(The band is named after British "Rainbow" drummer Ritchie Blackmore and his wife, the American singer Candice Night)

The music itself is good and I enjoy listening to it at Christmas. The thing that some people often find odd - or even offensive depending on the individual - is that the band are a Traditional Folk band that plays Folk/Medieval/Celtic Rock, yet on their "Winter Carols" album they are playing classic Christmas songs.
(I won't go any further into anything religious, but I've seen plenty of nasty comments about it on the individual songs on YouTube).
