Not really about relationships but...

How appropriate would it be if I bought my Sister in law a really "sloppy" birthday card? Her 45th is coming up at the end of this month, my Brother's wife.

I've bought a card, and I read the verse before I bought it to make sure it wasn't too cringe worthy, did I do right?

A mushy birthday card for a sister-in-law?

No. Never.

Funny? Crass? Naughty? On occasion. ;)

It seems kind Mr. Allen. But would depend on what you think of as sloppy. Not too emotional I expect? Then it's likely fine.
