My experience with Sak Yant

As my trip in Thailand is moving to my return home, yesterday I learned about Buddhism and today got a Sak Yant tattoo. It started with a 40 minute interview with Ajarn (master) Neng through an interpreter. I indicated that I wished to live a virtuous life through wisdom, justice, courage, and moderation, Stoic principles harmonious with Buddhism. He selected a Sak Yant for me and after giving him a gift he and his assistant went to work. A little while later and he finished and then blessed the Yant. The Sak Yant is below with the meaning of the elements of it. I have had some amazing experiences this past week.

For me, a tattoo is a very personal and special event.

I am glad that you are happy with your new tattoo. :)
