Apparently according to this article (below) in the UK it is legal to marry a cousin. I like one of my cousin's, l like her personality and looks wise I find her very attractive. Even if she did like me, I don't know how we would tell her Mum, my Aunt, and how my Aunt would react. I don't even know how to let my cousin know that I like her.

Can you marry your cousin in the UK? Which family members is it legal to marry?

I think that it is legal in the US, too.
That will always be an awkward conversation to have.
I wouldn't worry about what to say unless/until your cousine* actually reciprocates.

*French spelling for a female cousin.

I suppose her being my first cousin would potentially be tricky to explain to my Aunt. Maybe I could complement my cousin on her hair.

In the USA, a few states still allow first cousins to marry. Most states have banned it. I think California still allows it. I wouldn't recommend it if you plan to have kids due to risk of the child inheriting a double whammy of genetic problems. Your children would also be your second cousins, and it would be terribly awkward for the entire family in the event of a divorce.

Albert Einstein married his first cousin. I don't think they had children, either. European royalty has long married within the family. Genetic inbreeding is a real thing! And the ancient Egyptian custom of siblings marrying each other is just plain disturbing to modern people.

My late grandfather married one of his. Fortunately, this was late in age and no children were conceived. I come from a family of oddballs so go figure :D

I am fully aware how some are tempted to judge and say certain things solely because of the stigma that carries, but when you remove that from the picture you would have seen the man who was also a brilliant artist, craftsman, musician, woodworker, etc., you name it.

It seems like it. It is also a spoiler in a time-travel movie that I seen once, though I won't tell you which one.* [IMG] ;)

That song is also featured in The Stupids (1996), but with less context.

*PM me, if you want to know...

Did you look at the Wiki chart posted by Crossbread? Could just as likely be from California, Colorado or Connecticut.

If you take a few seconds to click on his profile, you would automatically know he is from the UK, more specifically, Scotland

First, it does not sound like you have found out her feelings. She might not have any interest in you beyond the fact you are related.

Second, having children is not simply your decision. Your cousin might want kids. Pregnancy can also be accidental, even with birth control.

I am not sure this is really thought through. There seems to be a lot of steps needed even before thinking of marriage.
