You don't get a clearer answer than what you already have, it is over. If he is anything like me regarding relationships, you don't have any chance at all. If he is not like me, he might "take you back" until the next time you completely flip out because of drama you created in the first place, and then you will be right back where you are now.
 
There’s no doubt about the text. Whether it’s out of self-preservation or whether he’s really over it is really a moot point - he broke up with you in the clearest of ways.
