Journalling

I was wondering how folk do their journalling.

I have had a journal for many years and do sometimes spend time working things out for myself in the journal I do not generally go back a reread what I have written and seldom go back to what I wrote over a year ago.

How do others use their journal?
 
I don't.
If I've nobody to talk to about something I can't find an explanation or answer for, I might jot a few notes down on paper in that moment to search for clarity, or fact.

I tend to burn the notes sometime later.

I can usually remember what matters to me. Otherwise I'm 'just passing through' events, circumstances & issues or problems, then on to the next...

... a bit like a virus really :)
 
I’m very sporadic at best in my journaling. I only do it when something I feel important has happened. I hardly ever go back and read journal entries.
 
I do have a few, one I use, last used a month after I moved into my mothers, and I should use it again.
