Im 41, and am just finally getting the answers I have sought for as long as I can remember.
It is bitter sweet. Very bitter, but the clarity is sweet.
Bitter because I can now see how brilliant at masking I was/am.
That is a humbling thing for me to realize and say .This is all just so new to me.
But it is also sweet, because I feel like "I was blind, now I can see". I can see myself truly now, something I could never do before.
My wife (of 5 years) really relates to to what they call "NT spouses. (I bet my x wife would relate too).
So, I want to meet any and every need my wife has. If she feels things that I cant understand, the same way I feel things nobody understands, the I have to fill that void and work hard.
Thankfully our marriage is great. But my wife definitely deals with a lot of the same as other NT wives.

I have not decided if I want a official diagnosis, or just start getting counselling and behavior therapy.

Oh, my intense interests was ancient culture and hebrew. Years of it. Because I was in a church that was all about learning, I fit in and was looked up to and admired. My obsession with facts is nuts. I spent 14 years studying hebrew and trying to understand manuscripts. And I fit in well, until the facts didn't line up with popular beliefs. Now nobody want to hear squat.
I believe I masked my way in church. There were so may abnormal behaviors there that I fit in like a logical scholar.

Oh yea, I also took a break from hebrew to go through
Pre-med. 4.0 and good MCAT results and hoping to go to baylor.

Always wondered why I was so so so so different.

Just typed a few more paragraphs, then realized I was oversharing. lol
Thats me

Welcome, Jason! These forums are full of chronic oversharers, so don’t hold back if you want to say more ;)
