Simple. Who was your favorite James Bond? That is what this poll is all about here. This should get some interesting discussion going.

    Dalton played the part.
    Brosnan looked the part.

    From "Casino Royale," 1967;

Sir James: You better bring me up to date. Who is on what assignment?
Hadley: Well, it's not a very happy picture, sir.
Sir James: [Looking at a map] Why all the black flags there?
Hadley: They've been liquidated, I'm afraid, sir.
Our Finland, stabbed to death in a ladies sauna bath, sir.
Our Madrid, burned in a blazing bordello, sir.
And, Tokyo, sir, garroted in a geisha house.
Sir James: It's depressing that the words "secret agent" have become synonymous with "sex maniac."

Interesting alliteration at play here. "Garroted...geisha house," "stabbed...sauna," and "burned...blazing bordello" then the sensual alliteration of the last line. "Secret agent...synonymous...with sex maniac"-- This is the stuff that writer dreams are made of. It's one thing to write something cool, but to have it sound cool too is impressive.

I like that the 2 Dalton films felt gritty, especially when compared to previous Bonds. Of course the Daniel Craig films have also brought an edgier set of films - but Dalton was a childhood favourite that remains to this day.

I probably would have voted the same if he was not infamous for beating up women in his offscreen life. He made a great Bond, though.

He was great as Bond, but a flawed person. However he did clarify he believed violence towards women was 100% wrong, later in life. (2006).

Sean Connery had that ultimate "look" for a James Bond of the earlier times when it first became
    a hot series of movies.
Now I find Daniel Craig is perfect for my idea of a Bond 007. More modern and true to life believable.
Sky Fall is my favourite of all.

Last I saw of Sean, he was riding off into the sunset...

I'm part Scottish. So Sean Connery, for me the man set the standard to play James Bond and. In my opinion, Is the best actor to play the role, he is 007 in my mind the way Chris Reeve is Superman!

I read all the books when I was a teenager, Only a couple were true to the books. Connery and Craig. To be truthful I still think the books were better than the movies. watched ever movie.

My favourite is Roger Moore, followed by Connery. A view to a kill is my favourite movie followed by live and let die. To be fair I haven't seen the most recent bond films though.

The Bond from the book was a serious cold killer, sociopath, Roger Moore portrayed him too much as a personable friendly kind of guy. Having a picture of him in my minds eye, never could take Moore seriously.

If I had to pick an actor not on the list whom could play Bond accurately, minus the accent, it would be Clint Eastwood. You can easily tell which actors who read the books. Moore and Brosnan just copied their TV series. Lazenby deserves at least one vote he did read the books and gave it a good shot, cannot keep every one happy.
