...as is nearly every pharmaceutical, dietary supplement, vaccine, and many medical devices. Keep in mind, there are many new laws and plenty of "red tape" that laboratories have to fill out and maintain. Animal testing has decreased dramatically over the years, especially if the experiments require euthanizing the animals. Animal rights groups are making an impact.

A hot topic, for sure,...would prefer an alternative,...but don't see long lines of humans signing up to be research subjects.
 
A lot of biomedical researchers in the US and less so in other countries are using organoids skin cells from a human are grown and used to test medicines,there are humans being tested for medicines since peta and others have finally convinced them to stop torture and since covid a lot of labs are covid positive and the beagle freedom project ,convince them to give the cats, dogs and rabbits as rescues,China is still testing .
