Howdy to all from South Texas. I am Mike, a 52 year old that was diagnosed just a few weeks ago as ASD - High Functioning. This finally explains so much about me across my life experiences - I just thought that I was extremely shy and felt uncomfortable around others. I hope to dive into some of these interesting discussions and maybe meet others with similar experiences. Happy to have found this site!

Hi Mike...

I was formally diagnosed as HFA-1 just this year (I'm 48), self diagnosed before that for four years... So I know what you mean, this is a good spot to land
 
Hi and welcome, I hope that you enjoy it here and find it useful and supportive. Plenty of interesting discussions to read and respond to. Your experience of late diagnosis sounds typical of many here.
