Hoping for some advice

Second Wind

Hello, I just added in today. I am not on the spectrum, although my child is, but tonight I wanted to ask for some advice. Is it possible for someone who has
Asperger's and alexithymia to determine a relationship doesn't have a chance of evolving into a partnership, but then later change their mind? Or is it pretty set in cement? If anyone has any personal stories of recovering a relationship, that would be helpful!

Anything is possible. I mean in this situation, I'm not just throwing out a cliche. They could do anything.

Yes-if they were confused about their previous feelings
Well yeah. Of course it is possible. For some people on the spectrum it would be more possible than others. Something would have to change to cause the original evaluation to appear invalid. Autistic folk like me tend to be terribly cold and rational about such things. Do you think they were confused? Or do they think they were confused? Makes a big difference.

Another question is whether the other person is good with getting back together too.

They admitted it was confusing. But seemed pretty certain it was the right decision, and it took him months to arrive at it. And there was no one reason. He just knew.
