Hiked Mt. Beerwah

Mush

Hiker
Took my eldest and youngest to climb Mt. Beerwah yesterday. It’s a touch climb that is mostly rock scrambling to the summit. While not a long climb, it is technically demanding with mistakes possibly causing a bad fall leading to injury or death.

I have climbed this mountain since I was 12 and have summited it over 100 times. Neither of my children ever want to climb it again as it was ‘scary’. But they are glad of the achievement and can now point to the mountain (you can see it from a long way away as it’s the tallest of the Glass House Mountains) and say they’ve climbed it.

I’m sharing because this is what I do to cope with the noise of life. I get out into as natural an environment as often as possible.

It is good for the body, mind and soul.

Amazing Mush i like climbing and had fun climbing Snowden and taking a trail in Turkey on the turquoise coast.

Very nice. I once went up a mountain that was bald on top and when the wind blew, it felt like you's fly off. Very scary. People actually have slid down and fallen so I think they now have a fence. I would not do it again.
