Help for my best friend

My brother is 18 and has been diagnosed as aspie since he was 15. Since our grandmother died (his main caretaker) he has gotten involved in porn webcams. Lately he feels that one of the girls on a site is in love with him and he's spends a couple hundred dollars a week in chatting with her. After six months of this her webcam site has shut down and he's convinced something terrible has happened to her. Since he knows the city in which she lives he wants to find her and protect her from whatever he thinks may have happened to her. But I know, and have tried to tell him, that he is looking for trouble if he pursues somebody who, at best may not even think twice about him and at worst could be involved in an dangerous underworld. Has anyone else heard of someone who has become so obsessed with a webcam person that they believes they love him and would pursue them if they were no longer at their site?

Hi and welcome. Poor dude got swindled. Hopefully he can get over it without doing anything rash. There's plenty of free porn out there, if that's his thing.

First of all, welcome!

Second, you're absolutely spot on. Someone (you or someone else) needs to stress to him just how bad of an idea this is. Best case scenario would be great, but I understand your concern about what could possibly go wrong here. Refusal to help with any plans he might have should be considered.
