Hi and welcome. I'm an Aspie mom, two kids, now adults. They totally get me and love me just how I am. I'm not a young woman so I've had years to learn how to act in the NT world so in public my kids were never ashamed of me. However, in private I always allowed myself to be my Aspie self and I guess it wasn't till my kids were a bit older did they begin to wonder why mom was different than other moms. But they always adored me and were totally accepting of my "quirks." I am very close to my kids (raised them as a single parent) and am amazed that they turned out as well as they did; but then they were my major preoccupation. Both are NT's, very social and active in their professions and in the community. If you ever have any questions or comments feel free to message me.
