Had a CT scan, feel great but…

I had a CT scan earlier in the week you know those machines that look like donuts that you slide in. This was part of my 3 month follow up and I’ve been feeling great for the most part except for some some GI and acid reflux problems for quite a while. Everything was looking good except the doctor found a swollen lymph node that measures 1.2cm or close to half an inch right next to my stomach or the gastric fundus. The lymph node has been swollen for 9 months and had apparently grew over time.
I am now sceduled for an endoscopy and a biopsy in January to see what the deal is as the doctor is concerned about the potential for malignancy in the lymph node.

Just what I wanted to hear a few days before Christmas but I am hoping it is nothing at all.
Not going to let it ruin my day as my week has been going well so far no burnout nor any meltdowns.

I am a cancer survivor. Lymphoma to be exact.

I'd say don't worry. Since cancer, I've had swollen lymph nodes, One on the back of my neck a year or two ago was the size of a golf ball. I've also had swollen lymph nodes in my abdomen.
I even had a tiny black sun spot on my face that I had removed.

All of these were benign. Nothing to worry about.

The lymphatic system is used for detoxification, and for fighting illnesses. It could be that the swollen lymph node is related to the GI inflammation- sending lymphocytes and other white blood cells to the site of the infection.

SIBO is where the small intestine is overgrown with bacteria. That's a possibility. Easily treated, even without medication. It could be that you're allergic to gluten, or dairy. Or something else simple.

That is the likeliest scenario. So don't worry your head about it. Stay positive.

I’m sorry that you went through all of that, hope you are doing ok now?

I’ve been tested for all kind of things lately like celiac disease, diabetes, Lupus, Crohns, and irritable bowel disease and I’ve been negative for all those diseases which is great. I know last year I had a antibody test for SIBO and I was negative for that.

Not worried too much about it even though I have a tiny pea size bump that’s stuck out from my upper stomach which is probably my lymph node. Could be inflammation but not jumping into conclusions. I wish some doctors quit scaring people into an assumption before an official diagnoses.

Right, I remember I had appendicitis way back in April and when I was sick my lymph nodes on the lower right quadrant of my stomach reacted since it was a localized event; pretty cool how they function.

Now since I have a lymph node that’s swelled for almost a year adjacent to the fundus I wouldn’t be worried and go about my day but Since September I’ve been having symptoms like vomiting, nausea, and intense heartburn (haven’t had heart burn in more than 10 years and I rarely eat spicy foods). I’m having to take nexium for all of this which is a medication I haven’t had to take since middle school for gallbladder problems that required surgical removal.

I had a CT scan as soon as I entered the emergency room after my stroke they found a huge blood clot in the largest blood vessel in the centre of my brain, pulled it out with a catheter from my groin to my brain read poster an wall as I Was wheeled into room stating it was the gold standard for stroke. Pretty sure clot formed in my brain from covid,
Took me years to piece this puzzle together, The doctors just say they have no idea as to cause. To me obvious.
What they did not know was months prior to the stroke I lost hearing temporarily, on left side, doctor sent me to hearing specialist and at same time gave me a flu shot sick for three days last week at work. before retirement.
