What are the top 3 things that really annoy you about facebook?

MINE ARE:

1. Scrolling through 30 posts all from the same facebook friend.
2. Pornography
3. When a facebook friend says something like this.
"If you are my friend than leave a comment, like and share." or something similar.

1: Racist posts from people ranting about immigration issues
2: Poor spelling/Poor grammar
3: Political posts, particularly posts supporting that racist idiot Nigel Farage (see point 1)
4: Constant game requests for stuff like Candy Crush, contrary to popular belief I have a life beyond the Internet, I'm too busy to accept constant game requests!

Regarding the poor spelling/grammar though, I have a close friend on FB called Daz who I've known for years, his spelling/grammar is awful but he keeps saying he'll delete me if I correct him so I don't.

1. Racist memes, or seemingly innocent memes but with the logo of a known neo-nazi organisation on there. By reposting such memes, a person legitimises the organisation, and by proxy legitimises all their views. I got quite confrontational with my uncle about this fact, and he just didn't get it.

2. The fact that due to spam filters, unless you are friends on facebook with a person, if you message them there is no guarantee they will get your message as it will probably go into a spam folder which is no longer easy to access. Also they disabled the ability to poke someone you aren't friends with, so cannot get their attention that way. Some old friends have the friend request button disabled as well, I have tried messaging them, and I don't have their number.

3. Until recently the search used to bring up public posts from groups and individuals mentioning what or who you were searching for, which was very handy in various ways-for example alterting you to groups on that topic you were unaware of. Now the search just searches for members and a limited selection of public groups and pages, at least on my android app.

I keep my friends list down to around 70 so I don't seem to be having these particular issues, that you and Rich Allen is having. I'm pretty quick to warn anyone that posting offensive stuff to please not post it in replies. I don't like to see facebook friends preaching the holier than thou stuff either. I have a list of people that I blocked as long as your arm. And many of these people has made personal attacks on me which brings immediate blocking. I just find it plain scary to have even close to a 1000 friends and facebook users wonder why they make such pitiful statements such as in my last sentence or even images of such self pity.

I only have 55 friends :) the main culprits are my uncle and his son, if it was anyone else I would delete them and block but it is difficult with family especially as I am already pretty estranged from my family as it is, don't want to make things worse.

I think the fewer friends we have the better we can manage things on our facebook pages. So Kudos to you for having 55 friends. But some Aspies try to win a trophy for having the most friends. I'm not going to mention any names but one Aspie has 2500 friends and I doubt if he even knew I unfriended him though I'm still in some groups that he is on. I didn't unfriend him because I don't like him. Not the case at all. This Aspie is quite smart and good at conversations, but it is his friends list that bothered me. And of course there are others on the Autism Spectrum with a recording setting friends list. But more often than not most of us have around 100 friends give or take some. If I unfriend the extra facebook pages that people have set up, the one that is deceased and the one that have deactivated his page I would only have 65 friends on my friends list. Too many friends make me nervous, LOL.

I only have 69 friends, and I feel that may be too many. All of my friends share my basic political views except for a few close friends whom I relegated to my Restricted list, because I know how easily offended some people can be.

They only see my public posts, and I almost never post publicly, so I don't have to worry about offending them daily with my political comments and humor. However, we still have the ability to interact if we want to.

What ticks me off about FB is their way of suspending the accounts of some, while other offensive pages stay up. Either suspend all things offensive, or don't suspend any. I personally don't believe it's right for people to have pages encouraging others to punch cats, but that stayed up for the longest time. Someone started a petition to have that taken down finally.

Other pet peeves include posts that try to guilt you into sharing, too many invites to games and people adding you to groups without your permission.

I know what you mean about some offensive groups not being taken down where others are removed at the drop of a hat. I'm surprise a group called "Child Hating Group" is still up. But then there was another group called "Chidfree with No Holds Barred" where the description was really putting children down going as far as "Kill them all". This was sure overstepping it's authority but it may have been taken down since I don't see it anymore. I'm all for being "Childfree" where I do belong to some of these groups. But there is so much I will take too. I'm like you, I also hate those stupid posts that tries to send me on a guilt trip so I will leave a comment, like and share. No way and I would tell them "No Thank you". There is too many of those posts and I think facebook should do something about them.

Others have joined me up on groups that I didn't even knew existed until I happen to run acrossed it.

Facebook is a frightening and unwelcoming place to be anymore because there are too many narrow minded users on there. It's either their way or the highway completely shutting my suggestion out where 10 users start attacking me even when the admins in there descriptions say no "personal attacks on other members". And when the admins don't do anything I just unjoin. It isn't worth it.

I see facebook as a hot bed of misinformation and hard feelings. I find it very alarming that so many people use social media such as facebook & twitter for news information and they believe everything that they read. Needless to say, I do not use social media of any kind. AC is as close to social media as I get.

Apparently I have exactly 40 friends, or about 8 more than I thought I had. Only about five of them post a significant amount, so it's not hard to deal with.

The vast majority live in other cities, so there's even an excuse to have them.

I'm not on Facebook. I don't have anything against it since I haven't used it, but:
1. Everything I am involved with seems to have moved to Facebook now, so I'm missing out.
2. I don't really know anybody that I would add as a friend on Facebook. If I was on Facebook, I don't see 0 friends as being good for my self esteem when everyone on there has tons of friends.
