I was prescribed a 15mg dose of Aderall. That helped with the heartrate issue that the 30mg caused, but it also created one more: my appetite was lowered. I meant one small snack and one meal a day lowered. Considering my metabolism is high (I am a 16 year old boy), and I am already pretty slim, I don't want to lose weight. Because of this, I am now prescribed a dose of 10mg as of today so I can actually eat.

Sorry to hear that man, it can be tough to get on the right medications. Just hang in there. It'll get better.

How long do you stay on the medication before you decide you need to switch because of the side-effects? Because they tend to go away after a while.

    Also, 30mg is a LOT.

    15mg is more than me.

    I take 10mg, three times a day!

My problem with higher doses was anxiety, 15mg was too much.

I'm also slim and have a fast metabolism. I think you'll be happy with 10mg.

Also, side note: $70 for a bottle of 10mg AdderallXR pills? That's kinda crazy. And my parents' insurance doesn't cover medications!

Insurance that doesn't cover medications!?!?! Why is that a thing??? I've lost coverage temporarily before so I'm sadly aware of the ridiculous price. I'm enraged on your behalf.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Also, I've never been on XR before. I wonder what that's like.

I take Concerta 27 mg once a day for my ADD. It doesn't effect my appetite at all, but then again, it doesn't really help with my ADD much unless I take a double dose.
I hope you can get things sorted out! Adderall is some powerful stuff. I'm really surprised they started you off on 30 mg. It's outlawed here in Japan, but Vyvanse and Concerta are legal.

XR is the extended release. IR is immediate release. I take IR, which is why I take it three times a day. XR is taken once a day.

6C68D333-F7E7-4EBB-A905-2F539053E358.jpeg I kid you not !and I got it wrong !it’s 40p more per item ,than I thought ,To put it into perspective there are certain !amount of people in the UK that don’t pay for prescriptions at all ,like me some who have an exemption certificate ,some who have a prepayment certificate,I never had to do the one pill a day( A friend had to do that ) I had seven pills per prescription and didn’t pay for them, they come out of national insurance instead, that doesn’t just cover medicine it would also cover an old age pension (seniors, there is also a pension for people who have been in the forces ,And a prescription exemption for that as well),after the age of 65 , but some people retire at 55 ,if they’ve paid into a separate pension . i’ll go to the politics section if you want to know anymore .
