So I am curious to know this Autism-Poverty relation.

According to the World Bank info, the guys of Ourworld in data have done some very nice graphs to better understand how poverty is distributed among countries.

Some very interesting graphs are:

I am considered to be living in poverty by my own country's standards, I'm a pensioner, yet after paying rent I have the equivalent of US$40 a day to play with. AU$400/week after paying rent.

I consider myself to be quite well off but there's a lot of people that find themselves unable to live on that money and are going to charities for food all the time. I don't understand this, I think it's plenty of money.

Always associated myself with it...
Grew up in rough places, had no money, me er sees that as a problem.
I felt worst when surrounded with people with money.
Like one of the Spanish artists sang in his songs..."...money is a gun for me..."
Poverty. bad thing, never good in any aspect and wouldn't wish my worst enemy to survive extreme poverty as it simply kills but...
I never met more honest people when poor ( despite some of them wanted to kill You etc but mostly brotherhood and honesty was the greatest thing I ever experienced...
 
Poverty for a female can mean so many things.
It means you are prey for others that wish to exploit you for monetary gain since there are so many men who live in near poverty. I have been approached and stalked for this many times over.

When l take a minimum paying job, l have many men suggesting how can l be happy working such a job? I state that it pays bills, what the hay? What's it to you anyways?

So as a older female, you high-tail it back to a dysfunctional relationship because it does in the end provide more security then be accosted for everything at a job.

Autism just adds another level of complexity to the load females already bear in one lifetime.

Yeah gotta have fjords. :) Deep fjords, that's important. We actually have 1700 named fjords and a few unnamed ones. So we're not running out of fjords anytime soon. I even have a fjord in my profile pic.

People often ask if l am Swedish, and l tell them part Norwegian, then they understand. Lol.
 
I experienced a great relationship to both.
As autistic person masking I would push myself to the limits just to find myself as homeless and poor and then use my traits to got to the top and have money etc just to find myself as homeless and got out of it again?
Maybe about the time that the system should listen a bit more and recognise Autism in youths as not everyone is able to carry on like that all the time? Just maybe, what do I know at the end of the day hehe
 
The OP does not consider the cost of living index [COLI]. We are manageably better off having a pension, but still on the poverty line. Poverty, here, is determined by
  1. how much disposable income one has after minimum local living expenses &
  2. that income divided by one's local COLI.
If we are careful, we can make ends meet. ;)
 
My AS mother was moderately rich growing up, and was later surprised that after simplifying her life to focus on all she wanted, she was officially living in poverty.
When I first heard the Golden Rule, it kept me out of so much unexpected trouble that I've applied it to everything, including wealth. I've usually lived close to the world average income and aspired to manage on a sustainable share of Earth's resources. This is often in conflict with zoning laws, and other GDP builders, so I have to manage how much conflict I can risk. I'm currently amazed that the Canada Pension Plan has not gone broke. With my lifelong spending habits unchanged, it is much more than I need. I'm having fun as a deputy elf.
 
You certainly have me beat, but I did not get my pension until nine years ago. Our finances were a source of panic prior to that, though my paper delivery job helped somewhat (and I am/was a Navy-trained systems analyst!).
