A Little Validation for Homeschoolers

You know, that one lady we met that one time.

I found these memes online and I thought that if you're a homeschooler, they might give you a laugh, and validate your amazing journey.

It's a sampling of all the ridiculous questions that society asks homeschoolers, but flipped in our favor.

So, you go, Mom and Dad! Hooray for honoring your child's interests and educational & social needs.

I am a big fan of homeschooling, when done right, of course - even though I have no kids and have never homeschooled. One day when I get my health and my life together, I would like to somehow help out with homeschooling/online schooling. I have been so impressed by the homeschooled kids I have met, and I feel so happy for them because they are so calm and grounded and well-educated, well-spoken, mature - they just seem very happy. I am sure this can go very wrong if parents aren't doing a great job or if they aren't well-connected with other homeschooling families/resources, but when done right - what a great option for kids who might otherwise face overwhelm or bullying at school, or simply not have as much individual attention paid to their learning and needs.

I don't know how coincidental it is, but if I were to make a list of the best, most kind, intelligent people I've ever met, 90% of that list would be comprised of people who were home-schooled for the majority of their education.

No joke, a lot of those memes are exactly the worries I have that have convinced me to homeschool my child, once they're old enough for schooling.
