Post one fun thing you did today.

Rules:
* Only one fun thing per day (if you post 20 things, people will get jealous).
* you may post the same fun thing every day (but after 6 - 7 weeks people will probably stop reading your posts)
* you may lie if you want to (how would anybody know?).
* if you haven't done anything fun yet, there's still time! Scamper off, do something fun, then scurry back and post.
* if you can't think of a fun thing to do, try pushing an ice cube around the floor with your nose. If that's fun, cool! post. If it's not fun, the rest of us will be amused thinking about people pushing ice cubes around on the floor with their noses.

So - I shall begin:

Today I filled four empty gallon Purple Cow ice cream containers with boiled straw and oyster mushroom grain spawn. That was a total hoot, to nobody but me.

I found this little guy, but my dogs were TERRIFIED of it for some reason.
It’s not even as big as my hand, I don’t know why they thought it was going to eat them lol

It was fun though because it made me laugh.

Made my daughter a fancy breakfast. A toasted croissant, some blueberries, and thinly sliced cheese. With a glass of goat milk.

And in her lunch bag, I put everything she'd need to microwave her own quesadillas at work. Even the plate, and something to cut it with.

I'm not sure if this is obvious but I am curious. What is that?

Edit: Nevermind. Comment just before me answered it. I've never seen a horseshoe crab before.

A funny run in with a horseshoe crab came when I was kayaking in some shallows near Pine Island, FL. I picked it up and it slipped, plopped onto my lap and it clamped down with its little pincers. OUCH!

Bought a chair that was light enough for me to carry up a lot of stairs. It's very breathable, pretty large compared to the ones I've tried generally and comfy. Sitting on it rn, got some back support when at the computer for a change, love it. Gaming queen. :innocent:

Today I mowed the weeds between planting beds and the garden suddenly looked good, instead of looking overgrown and neglected.

I took some photographs in the morning light. I tried to get a photo of a spider, but I haven’t yet downloaded it to see how it came out. It feels a bit old-fashioned like when you had to turn pictures into the photo shop and wait a while to see them. I enjoy the anticipation.

Tricky to get the tiny guys. I like this one:
