That was about 8 or 9 hours ago. How about now?

    It’s largely subsided now.

Maybe you were tired. Very tired.

You submitted one of their self-referral forms?

I talked to one of their counselors over the phone to set up an appointment.
Is there a way out for me?

    There is a way through.

You have to go get it through working. Try a part-time weekend job. Get up and go out. Create your opportunities.
I feel trapped by my routine as well as my mother’s control freak behavior.

Contacting Voc. Rehab. probably wouldn't hurt. You don't have to get your mother's permission to do that.

My ex stayed with my mom, he told me my mom is a control freak also.

I always said in the past when I was 18 and lived with my mom (before I moved out)." you can decide over the appartment, but can not decide over me, because I´m adult." but she also had problems to accept this. but today we don´t have these problems and have different appartments.
I wish my birthday wasn’t closing in.

Oh boy. You got those birthday blues.

I´m sorry but we can not pack a girlfriend for you and send you as birthday present. it would be against human rights and laws.

But it would be sweet if you got a girl kitty cat. I like boy cats myself. A black and white cat is on my wish list.
I want to know if my age (33) and inexperience doesn’t prevent me from ever having a girlfriend.

@tree I wish there was official data.

Seems like public records of marriages would provide some input.

tree´s endurance is not from this world. maybe she is an intelligent artifical intelligence or an extraterrestrial life form. noone knows.
Why do some people not want me to have a girlfriend?
    tree
    tree
Because they think you're a dim witted, no skill loser that shouldn't be allowed to reproduce. Oh, and you don't like yourself. So why should anyone else? Plus, the universe is focused on the thrill of seeing you unhappy. That sums up what you've said in the past, I think.

    You don't feel secure.
Forgot that today was 1st Friday. I am reminded once more that my invitation to the party got lost in the mail.

Hey. Be happy. Just go out and make your own party.

Charlie Brown. That's what the "invitation to the party got lost in the mail" made me think of.
Is there a cutoff age to getting into a relationship? I fear I’ve hit it because my efforts to get a girlfriend always fail.
    Markness
    Markness
Why haven’t my efforts been successful, though?
    tree
    tree
If you have continued to develop your social/people skills since the age of, say 12 or so, then your efforts are successful. This idea that there is a cutoff age/a time limit is not doing you any favors. You fret over it. You continually bring it up. Who told you there was a time limit to being able to love & be loved?

No there isn't. Several people get into a relationship in their 70's or even later. My mother got into relationship with a man (who I heavily suspect is autistic) well into his 50's who had never been in a relationship before. He lived in a small apartment where he hoarded films and books. He was also pretty unfit and ate lots of candy.
We Have Demons is the best current American comic I’ve read so far this year.

    Discord communities are so toxic.
    Stuttermabolur

I am in one pretty nice community, but it's probably just because it is quite small, built around one person who engages quite actively with it, and a chunk of the people there have been friends for 20+ years. I haven't looked into any more though because of Discord's reputation. When I did look at a couple of other channels early on, they were... not for me.

You get more what you focus on. Make an effort to change your focus. I fight with this everyday. I try as best as possible to change my perspective. I exercise and get the endorphines running, I'll go for a walk to clear my head. Whatever it takes. Switch your focus and you be able to change your outcome and find your goals.
    I wish I had a different job.

    True @tree.
Maturity means you don't give a rat's behind about those two people. The two questions l say? Do those two people pay your bills? Will they come to your funeral? Then don't worry about them.
    Aspychata
    Aspychata
I wish you had a different job. Being on the spectrum means change is hard for us. So don't blame the two people. Realize it's harder for us to get out of the grind and find/do something better.

The fact you are employed now makes it easier to get a better job if you were so inclined. I'm looking for employment myself and the hassle of online applications confuses me. See if you can find some help somewhere with applying & go for it.
